Robotics engineer
Primary responsibilities
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for assuming ownership of the remote handling systems for the Active Cells Facility
• Received deliverables from our partner’s suppliers
• Take part in testing, troubleshooting and commissioning robotics systems
• Integrate robotics application with the wide control system
• Support and interact with Active Cells Facility local control room operators
• Reporting to the work package manager
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technology or science
• 3 years of experience in developing robotics applications using ROS2
• Expert level knowledge of ROS2 driver development in Python
• High level of general software development competence
• Excellent oral and written English skills are mandatory
Advantages

• Experience with pytest or similar test frameworks
• Experience with industrial automation and motion control systems
• Experience with the EPICS control system integration framework
• Experience with Git, continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Experience of working with systems for handling radioactive materials
